The Thorpdale Potato Festival celebrates the long history of potato farming in the Thorpdale district, nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges in Gippsland, Victoria.
The Festival is a fun-filled day for all of the family – there’s music, food, kids entertainment, fashion, photography, cooking demonstrations and the ever-popular ‘potato races’.
And the best part – all profits from the event are reinvested back into the community!

Stallholder applications for the 2025 Thorpdale Potato Festival are now open. Applications close 15 December 2024.
Did you know all profits from the Festival are returned directly to the community via our merit-based grants process? Check out our 2023 grant recipients.
Mark it in the calendar – the Potato Festival will be here before we know it! Tickets will be available online shortly or at the gate.
